Indie folk balladeer and guitarist, Eirik Omlie, casts new light on obscure, often forgotten stories with his “heartfelt and powerful, finely-crafted” songs of courage and hope, dreams, and exploration. Eirik’s guitar style delicately melds global rhythm traditions “like a butterfly landing on a blade of grass”— techniques he developed while living across the world over the years, learning from local musical traditions while songwriting, performing music, and assisting in humanitarian aid efforts.
Currently calling New York City home, Eirik has performed at local venues such as Pianos, Rockwood Music Hall, and Postcrypt. He is booking shows with his acoustic trio or solo throughout the region in 2024 to showcase recent releases, “No Wounded Ride,” “Adrift at Sea, Searching for a Storm,” “Nkandela,” and “Raise up the Stars.”
